New school given green light by planners in Donegal

The Department of Education has had its request for planning permission for a new school in Donegal approved. A new Educate Together school will be built on a site once housed by the old Unifi factory in the Kiltoy area of town. The multi-million euro building will consist of 24 classrooms, 50 car parking spaces, and hard and soft court play areas.

The existing Educate Together school is housed in prefabs and currently accommodates over 200 children, but has a waiting list each year. The new building will remedy both the housing and enrolment issues for this school.
