Security

Our servers are located in Ireland with Amazon (the application system database) and Blacknight; (the front facing website), both hosting networks which are designed with high availability, fault tolerance and security in mind.  These companies deliver a highly scalable cloud computing platform with high availability and dependability, and the flexibility to enable customers to build a wide range of applications.

Physical security is provided by these companies in the form of video surveillance, security breach alarms, biometric security and/or proximity security, perimeter control beams and strict sign in/sign out procedures.

Locating our servers in Ireland allows us to operate in-line with Irish Data Protection laws.

Our application system uses 256-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol encryption technology to ensure your login details are encrypted when entered into your browser.

Financial payments will be processed via Stripe, a credit card payment gateway.

Stripe is a highly trusted online payment card processor.  Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (“PCI DSS”) was established in 2004 as an industry-wide set of requirements and processes to help ensure that cardholders can make purchases confident in the knowledge that their credit card information will be protected from fraudsters. Stripe differs from other payment gateways, in that no sensitive data ever hits primaryschools.ie’s servers, increasing security for cardholders.
